In these pages, you will find educational information
on Common Drugs of Abuse.
Treatment for alcohol and drug abuse is changing. California is in th process of eliminating the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) and transferring those responsibilities to other government agencies. We encourage you to follow these changes as they will greatly affect addiction treatment in California. Further, as a consumer or family member of someone affected by addiction in the State of California, you have the right to participate in discussions with ADP regarding this transition which will go into effect July 1, 2013. For more information regarding these discussions, please visit their website at: http://www.adp.cahwnet.gov/transfer.shtml

We represent the alcoholics and addicts, and their family members, who use alcohol and drug abuse treatment services -- believing that every treatment facility should be a safe and effective place to heal from addiction. If you have stories of mistreatment or abuse while residing at a treatment facility that need to be heard, please email info@thejustinfoundation.org
To help California addiction counselors become more knowledgeable, The Justin Foundation offers tuition assistance. Scholarship awards have been temporarily suspended due to waning donor contributions during the current recession. We hope to reinstate this assistance as soon as possible.
